After the success of the first edition, ‘Sorsi di Vagliagli’ returns, with even more wineries and stands, to celebrate the wines and tastes of this territory. The appointment is in September, Saturday 21st from 4 pm until midnight, in the suggestive medieval village of Vagliagli. Here, just a few kilometres from Siena, the wines and flavours of the area will be celebrated: the UGA (Additional Geographical Unit) Vagliagli wineries will be present, and they will introduce participants to the area’s wine-making tradition.
There will be present: Aiola, Bindi Sergardi, Belvedere, Borgo Scopeto, Cantalici, Castello di Selvole, Dievole, Oliviera, Complicity, Scheggiolla, Terra di Seta, Valiano, Vallepicciola.
In addition to wine, there will be numerous gastronomic banquets, with traditional dishes inspired by the territory, but in a street food key, so you can try the most curious combinations. There will also be excellent live music to liven up the festival.
‘Sorsi di Vagliagli’ is an event organised by the Vagliagli Association with the collaboration of the Polisportiva and the patronage of the Municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga and the Chianti Classico Consortium. The aim is to highlight the uniqueness of this territory, its excellent wine production and traditional flavours.
Other activities:
On the weekend of 21 and 22 September, on the occasion of Sorsi di Vagliagli, many wineries in the area will be open for visits and tastings. Reservations are recommended, contacting directly the wineries that most intrigue you.
In addition, Camminando a Quercegrossa has planned a 5 km hike on Saturday 21 September to discover some of the most beautiful views of the area, amidst vineyards and olive groves. Departure in the afternoon from Vagliagli, route for all. For information: [email protected]

The ‘Sorsi di Vagliagli’ event will take place on Saturday 21, from 16:00 to 24:00 in the main square of Vagliagli (Piazza Vittorio Emanuele). The cost of the ticket is 15 euro per person, which entitles you to a glass and 10 tokens/tickets to spend at the various stands.
